Overview: Pattern Bars
Each piece of fused glass art on this page contains glass that was uniquely formed in the kiln through the creation of pattern bars. Because of the thickness of the bars, a firing can last for over 20 hours. The bars are cut up and sandblasted before being incorporated into a fused glass design. Two types of pattern bars are featured: bookend and progressive.
